Summer 2024

The last three months have whizzed by as I start my third re-write of Time after Time! As part of my process, when I’m three quarters through the book, I sit and do a review of the characters, storyline and structure and have a read through. Mid June I decided to scrap about 50% of what I’d written. The same happened with the Moon Queen which is a very different story to the one I had originally planned.

So… after two and a half months of feverish writing, Time After Time is back to 60,000 words and I’m now happy with it. I’ve got several different versions of the jeopardy resolution, both of which have a slight twist. I’ll write them both and see which one fits best, although I could include the rejected one in the back notes, just for fun. I hope to publish Time After Time in early 2025.

I had an early birthday present (my birthday is in October) of a Linocut Printing kit. Very enjoyable and fun. Some of my early efforts below.
